Small grad gift

One of my family acquaintances is graduating from an online high school.  So there was a small family get together to celebrate her accomplishment.  I wanted to do something kind of special, we got her a program for her new computer, which wasnt much pretty stuff to open.  So I decided to make something a little special.

I love the dollar tree, and they have some really neat grad stuff.  So on a whim I was inspired to decorate a cup to crate a small keepsake item.

I grabbed a plain run of the mill cup that said "grad."

It was nothing very special, until I thought I could decorate it to make it something that is worth using and showing off.  I decided to use some puffy paint to decorate the cup.

I worked my way around the cup making designs and caps.  There were a few smear marks of where I tried to wipe off a few mistakes, but hopefully no one will inspect it that closely.

I only had two puffy paint colors at the time, something I will hopefully use for another project, so it is not very exciting, but special enough I think.

My brother is also graduating this week, and I am planning to make him a cup for his graduation part.  I was lucky to find a 'grad' cup of his schools color (green), so I will decorate that this week, after buying other puffy paint colors.

Since this was first published I did make my brother his own cup.  And I tried to leave it kind of plain so that it wouldn't be too girlie.
